How To Design and Order
Step 1
Select a Crystal
Cashman Crystals are available in several shapes and sizes including 3D hearts, rectangles, and cubes as well as 2D squares, hearts, and circles. It is important to consider the photo for your design when choosing a crystal. Close up photos of 1-3 people (or pets) look great in most shapes but really stand out in 3D Hearts and 3D Jewel Cubes. Our 3D Rectangle Cube is the most versatile since it can be oriented vertically or horizontally. Vertical is best for 1-3 full bodies or “busts” while horizontal is perfect for large groups or capturing a scene.
Step 2
Upload your Photo
Your photo is the star of the design! Choose your favorite .jpg image and upload it directly form your phone, tablet, or computer in the highest resolution you have. Our Crystal Artists will prepare your image for laser-etching by enhancing details, cropping, and if needed converting your photo into a 3D masterpiece.
(note: added fees for layout design are only charged one time. You can re-use the same design without added cost!)
Step 3
Consider adding text
Laser Etched Crystals are often used to commemorate a special achievment, relationship, or moment in time. Consider adding some text to celebrate an anniversary, wedding, graduation, or life well lived. Yo can add up to two lines of text to most crystals. Our Crystal Artists will place your text in the perfect location for your design.

Step 4
Special Requests for your Design
With all the components of your design selected, our Crystal Artists are ready to begin designing the layout for your Crystal! They will adjust your photo, convert it to 3D if needed, and add your text in a high-impact artful presentation. If you have any notes you’d like to share about the design, please let us know in the section provided.
Don’t worry! We will email a rendering of your Crystal Design for approval before the etching starts.
If at any point you need help with the design process, please CALL US! Believe it or not, we actually have real people you can talk to Monday – Saturday between 9:00am and 5:00pm (Pacific TIme). If those hours are inconvenient, fill out THIS FORM and a Crystal Artist will respond as soon as possible.
Step 5
Add a Light Base (optional)
Our LED light bases are designed specifically for displaying your laser etched, optic crystal masterpiece in the perfect light! All light bases feature an array of 7 pure white light emitting diodes (leds) and included an AC adapter. A cut crystal square base is included with 3D Heart Gift Sets and 3D Jewel Cube Gift Sets. A larger, crystal cut rectangle base is available as a second base for a gift set or for any other crystal we offer. We also offer a sleek, ROUND crystal base that can be powered by (3) AAA batteries
Step 6
Add to Cart and Checkout
Once your design is complete and ready to purchase, consider adding additional crystals of the same design. Simply change the quantity if you’d like more than one of the same size and shape crystal before adding to your cart. At checkout, you’ll also have the opportunity to add complimentary products such as smaller versions of the same shape, or matching 2D ornaments, paperweights, and pendants. Remember, the “design cost” is only charged for the first crystal in your order and there is no cost to re-use the same design.
You’ll also have the opportunity to create an account at checkout. Your secure account will be host to your order status and history, any designs you create, shipping addresses for both you and gift recipients. You can also opt-in to seasonal promotion emails and texts.
Step 7
LOVE your Crystal
This is the easiest step in the process and truly the most important to us. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Please open your package and inspect your order as soon as you can. We’ll work tirelessly to replace damaged or defective products reported to us within 14 days of receipt. If your Crystal still doesn’t meet your expectations, you can return it for a refund with 14 days of receipt.
